Makoto Selection

Food work where the line between appetising and oversaturated is about two nodes on a curve. I kept warm midtones doing the heavy lifting, preserved natural highlight detail on glossy surfaces - sauces, glazes, anything reflective - and used precise secondaries on individual ingredients so texture and freshness read clearly.

The goal was food that looks like you'd actually eat it, not food that looks like it's been lit for a catalogue.
